Cookie Policy

Summary

We use cookies as little as we reasonably can. The main pages of greenpt.com do not set tracking cookies at all. Cookies are only used on dedicated ad-landing and thank-you pages for visitors arriving via Google or Meta ads, and exclusively to measure whether the ad led to a visit. Site analytics are handled by a self-hosted Plausible instance on EU servers, which is privacy-friendly and does not require cookies for its core measurements.

This policy expands on the “Cookies and tracking” section of our Privacy Policy, which remains the binding statement of how we process personal data.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. The next time you visit, the browser sends that file back so the site can recognise the session. Cookies fall into two broad categories:

• First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting (greenpt.com).
• Third-party cookies are set by external services that the website embeds (advertising networks, analytics platforms, social plugins).

Cookies can also be classified by how long they live: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.

The cookies GreenPT uses

We use the smallest possible set of cookies, grouped into two categories.

Strictly necessary

Cookies that are required for core functionality of the authenticated product (chat.greenpt.ai, app.greenpt.ai): your login session, CSRF tokens, and security preferences. These cookies cannot be switched off because the product would not function without them.

The public marketing site you are reading right now (greenpt.com) does not set strictly-necessary cookies on most pages, including the homepage, product pages, blog, legal pages, and the rest of public navigation.

Advertising conversion

On dedicated ad-landing pages (for example, campaign-specific URLs you reach from a Google or Meta ad) and the corresponding thank-you pages, we place a small number of conversion cookies from those advertising platforms. These cookies are used only to measure whether the ad led to a visit on those pages.

We share with these advertising partners only that a visitor arrived on a specific landing page and, where applicable, a thank-you page (those two pages only). We do not share any other personal data, browsing activity, or behaviour outside those pages.

Analytics: no tracking cookies

For aggregate usage analytics across the site, we use Plausible Analytics, fully self-hosted on our own EU servers. Plausible's default configuration is cookieless: it does not set any cookies, does not assign a per-visitor identifier, and does not send data to any third party. The measurements we collect are limited to anonymous page views, referrer, country, and device class.

Cookies we do not use

To make the inverse explicit: we do not use cookies for any of the following on greenpt.com.

• Cross-site tracking across third-party domains
• Advertising profile building or behavioural targeting outside the dedicated ad-landing pages described above
• Data brokerage, list rental, or selling to third parties
• Social-network embed cookies (Facebook Pixel beyond the conversion cookie above, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.)
• Heatmap or session-replay cookies

How to control cookies

You can decide whether to accept cookies and remove them at any time. Every major browser provides cookie controls under Settings or Preferences:

• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

For the ad-conversion cookies described above you can opt out at the source: Google offers an opt-out via My Ad Center; Meta offers controls under your account's Ad Preferences.

Blocking strictly-necessary cookies on the authenticated product (chat.greenpt.ai, app.greenpt.ai) will prevent you from staying signed in. Blocking advertising-conversion cookies has no effect on what you can see or do on greenpt.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we introduce or remove a service that uses cookies. Material changes will be communicated through this page or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
